Why it happens

Root cause & deterministic fix

Root cause

Trailing whitespace or slashes in team names (`"Tigers 10U "` vs `"Tigers 10U"`), mixed ISO/short dates (`2026-04-18` vs `4/18/26`), and overlapping field/coach time slots.

What DiamondBridge does

Normalizes all dates to strict `MM/DD/YYYY`, strips duplicate-inducing characters, generates deterministic `Team_1_ID`/`Team_2_ID` codes, resolves field/coach collisions, and exports ready-to-upload CSVs.

How it works

Rules a commissioner would write, enforced on every row.

Each rule is a plain, inspectable check — not a model's best guess.

One game per diamond, per slot

Overlapping start/end windows on the same field are detected and the later game is shifted to the next open slot under the lights.

Coaches are only in one dugout

A coach rostered in 10U and 12U at 5:30 PM gets one game staggered automatically, so nobody forfeits on a technicality.

Rainouts find their makeup slot

Games marked RAINOUT are moved to the first open makeup window on the same diamond and annotated for your umpire coordinator.

Code level determinism when you need it. Browser simplicity when you do not.

Same CSV in, same schedule out — every time. No AI guessing at your bracket, no account to create, nothing uploaded to a server.

FAQ

Questions we hear most.

Which columns does my CSV need?

game_id, date, start_time, duration_min, division, field, home_team, away_team, home_coach, away_coach, umpire and status. Extra columns are ignored; dates in any common format (4/18/26, 2026-04-18) are normalized to MM/DD/YYYY.

Will SportsEngine accept the export without remapping?

Yes. The SportsEngine file uses the Start_Date / Start_Time / Event_Type headers its schedule importer expects, with team names cleaned so it does not create duplicate orphan teams.

How are rainouts rescheduled?

Any game with status RAINOUT is moved to the first open makeup window on the same diamond that does not collide with another game or coach, and the move is noted for your umpire coordinator.

Does my league data get uploaded anywhere?

No. Parsing and fixing happen in JavaScript inside your browser tab. You can disconnect from Wi-Fi after the page loads and it still works.

What does the $19 Season Pass include?

Unlimited schedule fixes and exports for one league for a full season, including mid-season rainout rebuilds. No subscription and no per-team fees.

Can umpire coordinators use it too?

Yes. The TeamSideline export includes an Umpire1 column and remediation notes, so umpire assignments travel with every rescheduled game.
